This summer, like all summers before, trends have changed. Colors, fabrics, styles, and patterns are very diverse and range from soft pastels to vivid neon, lace to sheer, and floral to tribal.
To start my little list off, is colors. This year you will find many different colors, some of the most popular are: Mint Green, Coral, Bright or Pastel Pink, Sky Blue, Neon Yellow, and other similar colors. Of course, black and white are foolproof once again. Nude colors are also being frequently paired with something a bit more colorful to provide a nice contrast.
More than colors, fabrics have come in blazing. Two in particular. One is lace. It's everywhere you look, and for good reason. Lace is beautiful and flattering and adds an interesting texture to a normally simple look. People have put lace on tank tops, skirts, cover-ups, and everything else imaginable. The second fabric is sheer. Most tank tops now are cotton with lace, or sheer high-low styled. Wearing sheer fabric is clever because not only is it pretty and slightly seductive, but it keeps you cool in the summer heat.
Finally, patterns have changed. One of the most popular summer patterns is floral. In almost any store you look at, you will find something floral. This pattern in particular is cute and girly and goes along very well with the rest of this summer's trends. The flowers add a little extra to any outfit. Another pattern that has taken over is tribal. Tribal patterns are found in every article of clothing ranging from shoes to jackets. They're typically very fun, bright, and happy; and contrast nicely to the calm, girly, florals. Tribal patterns are convenient because you can wear them with a solid piece of clothing or with another pattern without overdoing the look.
